I actually do feel quite sorry for Anand. Her query may have been quite genuine and naive but some of the responses posted here and on the Medway and Bexley forums have been really harsh, rude and unnecessary. She is probably too scared to reply to your question. Good luck to her and her DD with the choices they make . We really do need to think carefully before posting.

But that works both ways, Anand's questions were often very abrupt & demanding with no thanks, either in advance or afterwards for the help given. The tone of the questions may possibly be a language issue, but thanking people is easy, gives everyone a warm fuzzy glow & is more likely to result in sympathetic & helpful answers.

This is very true. Let’s not forget that behind this forum there is a community of people who are giving their time to help out parents in what is, for most of us, a very stressful time. We’re only human, after all, and are more inclined to help those who are polite and those who help others.
