We are completely new to that place, not sure where to move. Just to want to be 10 - 15 minutes walking distance from school.
Any thoughts on this please?

Thanks

10-15 minutes is fairly close, try the roads off Stafford Road - Francis Road is about as far west as you'd get, Ingleby Way and The Newlands are nice a bit further south and just the other side of Roundshaw, or the area immediately around Mellows Park, Bandon Rise, Upper Road, Sandy Lane North etc. Very much depends on budget though!

Hi, you may look in CR0 area around Waddon way too as an option, its about 15 min walk via Imperial way there is a cycle path, lots of boys use that path to walk to Wilsons school.

check google map below:

Unless you are intending to provide a taxi service for your DS on a regular basis, it might be better to consider public transport routes / safe walking routes (e.g. some of the suggestions put forward by RuedeWakening and kmadan above?.

Anywhere that's within a 10 min drive on a school morning is going to be within about a 30 minute walk, which would be better for both parent and child. Unfortunately I can't really advise on places to live, but I've heard good things about Wallington.

@toadmum I will be the taxi driver ferrying my son every day. I have the priviledge of working from home. Hence asked a 10 min drive.

Purley seems nice. But looking for suggestions of nicer areas. I live in canary wharf. Planning to move if we get one of the sutton schools
